Garhwal - Gaumukh - Tapovan

Well, this was a part of our 16 day trek schedule. We returned from Kedartal unsuccessfully due to tons of snow but we still have to visit Gaumukh & Tapovan. After returning from Kedartal we were so tired and our knees were gone. We decided to spent the next day in Gangotri to regain the energy.

In the evening Me and Deep were taking rest on our Ashram's balcony. This is the front view from our balcony. Surya Kund is very very close to our Ashram.Next day morning I took some snap shots here & there just to spent the time.
We didn't waste the day, went to explore the Pandu Gufa area once more.
This is the beautiful trail to Pandu Gufa. Pine trees are everywhere on the way and a fine fragrance of gum of its cones is present in air.
We were venturing here & there taking photos of picturesque hill side. Met with some foreigners and bangalies also.

I took some shots in auto timer mode placing the camera on a big rock.
Deep was trying to compete with me with his manual SLR camera.

From here one can have the most beautiful views to Sudarshan peak. This place is better than Gangotri for taking shots of the peak.
